Many believe that certain events described in biblical prophecies are taking place now, including increased famines, disease epidemics, and earthquakes. Others point to the ability to view events globally, the potential for a large army to be fielded, and the prevalence of wickedness and war as signs of the end times. Some interpretations of biblical prophecy also suggest that hearts are turning toward Jesus and that a period of hope is coming, even for a world facing war, pandemics, and a climate crisis. 

• Increasing Signs of the End Times:

  Some interpretations of biblical prophecy suggest that the world is experiencing an increase in famines, disease epidemics, and earthquakes, as mentioned in Matthew 24:7. These events, while not new, are seen as becoming more frequent and notable in the context of end-time prophecies. 
• Global Connectivity and Witness:

  The ability to see events worldwide is seen as a fulfillment of Revelation 11:3-11, which describes the world witnessing the death of two witnesses. This is now possible through modern technology like satellites.
• Revelation 9:13-19 mentions a large army of 200 million cavalry.
• The ability to field such a large force is seen as another potential sign. 
• • Wickedness and War:

    Biblical prophecies often describe a time of increasing wickedness, war, and turmoil, according to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many interpret these events as indicators of the end times. 
  • • Hope and the Year of Jubilee:

      Some see the world's current state as a call for hope, according to The God Who Speaks. The designation of 2025 as a Year of Jubilee by the Holy Father is seen as a time for hope for a world facing challenges. 
    • In general, believers in biblical prophecy engage in exegesis and hermeneutics of scriptures which they believe contain descriptions of global politics, natural disasters, the future of the nation of Israel, the coming of a Messiah and of a Messianic Kingdom—as well as the ultimate destiny of humankind.
    • Bible prophecy or biblical prophecy comprises the passages of the Bible that are claimed to reflect communications from God to humans through prophets. Jews and Christians usually consider the biblical prophets to have received revelations from God.
