🌟 The Life Story of Jesus — From Birth to Resurrection

Chapter 1: The Birth of Jesus

A young woman named Mary was chosen by God to be the mother of His Son.

  • An angel told her she would have a baby named Jesus, who would be called the Son of God.
  • Joseph, her husband, obeyed God’s message and cared for Mary faithfully.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in a humble stable.

  • Angels appeared to shepherds, announcing the birth of the Savior.
  • Wise men from the East brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, honoring Him as King.

“For unto you is born this day a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Chapter 2: Growing Up in Nazareth

Jesus grew up in Nazareth, learning and living faithfully.

  • He was obedient to His parents and wise beyond His years.
  • Even as a child, He amazed teachers in the temple with His understanding of God’s Word.

“Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2:49)

Chapter 3: Baptism and Beginning of Ministry

When Jesus was about 30, He was baptized by John in the Jordan River.

  • God spoke from heaven: “This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.”
  • The Holy Spirit came upon Him, empowering His ministry.

Jesus began teaching about God’s kingdom, love, and forgiveness, performing miracles, healing the sick, and casting out evil spirits.

Chapter 4: Teaching and Miracles

Jesus traveled from town to town, teaching with stories called parables:

  • The Good Samaritan, The Lost Sheep, The Prodigal Son—lessons about love, mercy, and forgiveness.
  • He healed the blind, the lame, and those suffering from disease.
  • He calmed storms, fed thousands with a few loaves and fish, and even raised people from the dead.

“With God, all things are possible.”

Jesus taught that God loves everyone and that we should love God and love our neighbors.

Chapter 5: Facing Opposition

Some religious leaders were upset with Jesus, because His teachings challenged their authority.

  • They spread lies and plotted against Him.
  • Yet Jesus continued to teach, showing grace, patience, and love.

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Chapter 6: The Last Week — Jerusalem and the Cross

Jesus entered Jerusalem to the cheers of crowds waving palm branches.

  • He celebrated the Passover with His disciples, sharing the first Lord’s Supper:
    • Bread symbolizing His body
    • Wine symbolizing His blood, given for the forgiveness of sins

Later, Jesus was arrested, tried unfairly, and sentenced to death on a cross.

  • He carried the cross to Golgotha and died for the sins of the world.

“It is finished.” (John 19:30)

Chapter 7: The Resurrection

Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the dead, conquering sin and death.

  • The tomb was empty, and angels announced the good news to women who came to visit.
  • Jesus appeared to His disciples many times, teaching and encouraging them.

“Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

Chapter 8: Ascension and Promise

Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven.

  • He promised the Holy Spirit to guide and empower His followers.
  • He promised to return one day to make all things new.

“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Chapter 9: The Big Picture

The life of Jesus shows:

  1. God keeps His promises.
  2. Jesus is God’s Son, sent to save the world.
  3. Love, mercy, and forgiveness are at the heart of God’s kingdom.
  4. Faith in Jesus brings eternal life and hope for the future.
