✨ The
Story of Romans — Salvation, Grace, and Life in God
Part One:
God’s Power to Save
Paul writes to the believers in Rome,
reminding them:
“The gospel is the power of God that brings
salvation to everyone who believes.”
- Everyone
has sinned and falls short of God’s glory
- But
through Jesus, God offers forgiveness and eternal life
- Faith,
not works alone, is the key to being made right with God
Part Two:
Justification by Faith
Paul explains that God justifies (makes
right) those who believe:
- Abraham
believed God, and it was counted as righteousness
- We are
saved by trusting in Jesus, not by our own deeds
“For we hold that one is justified by faith
apart from works of the law.”
This shows that God’s grace, not our
perfection, saves us.
Part Three:
Life in the Spirit
Believers are called to live in the Spirit,
not under the law:
- The
Spirit gives power to overcome sin
- Produces
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
and self-control
- Transforms
hearts to follow God’s will
“Those who live according to the Spirit have
their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”
Part Four:
God’s Sovereignty and Mercy
Paul explains that God is sovereign and
merciful:
- He
chooses and calls people according to His plan
- He
works all things for good for those who love Him
- Nothing
can separate believers from God’s love
“For I am convinced that neither death nor
life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the
love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Part Five:
Lessons from Romans
Romans teaches us:
- Salvation
comes by faith in Jesus, not by our own efforts
- God’s
grace transforms lives and gives the power to live righteously
- The
Holy Spirit guides believers in love and obedience
- God’s
love is eternal, unshakeable, and available to all who believe
