⚡ The
Story of Jude — Contending for the Faith
Part One:
Warning Against False Teachers
Jude writes to warn believers about people who
twist God’s truth:
“Dear friends, although I was very eager to
write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge
you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy
people.”
- False
teachers infiltrate communities
- They
live immorally and mislead others
- Believers
must remain vigilant and stand firm in God’s truth
Part Two:
Remembering God’s Judgment
Jude reminds readers that God will judge
the ungodly:
- The
ungodly face destruction because of rebellion and sin
- God’s
justice ensures righteousness prevails
- Believers
are encouraged to trust God’s timing and authority
“In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the
surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They
serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.”
- God is
faithful and just in dealing with sin
Part Three:
Building Faith and Love
Jude encourages believers to grow
spiritually:
- Build
yourselves up in faith
- Pray
in the Holy Spirit
- Keep
yourselves in God’s love
- Show
mercy to those who doubt
“But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in
your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.”
- Faith,
love, and prayer strengthen the community
Part Four:
Lessons from Jude
Jude teaches us:
- Stand
firm and defend the faith
- Be
vigilant against false teachers and deception
- Trust
God’s justice and judgment
- Grow
in faith, love, and prayer
- God’s
protection and guidance empower believers to persevere
